Members of the HCT GreenNest team, together with the Dean, Dr. Khalid Ambusaidi of Higher College of Technology, initiated a team bonding event within the college. Everyone enjoyed the small picnic, little chats and water activities.
Students and other volunteers spent their Saturday morning in a walk to raise awareness about eco house and green living. A tree planting activity concluded the event.

After months of planning, preparation, construction and a lot of teamwork, HCT submits their official entry to The Eco House Design Competition (EHDC), the HCT GreenNest.

Representatives of The Research Council (TRC), together with a government official, paid a visit to the HCT GreenNest.
They examined and checked the progress of the construction of the HCT Eco House.
Attended by dignitaries, officials from the Ministry of Manpower, students and teachers of Higher College of Technology, the ground breaking ceremony was a success.
Her Excellency Dr. Muna Bint Salim Al Jardani, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Manpower for Technical Education and Vocational Training, did the honors of making the first excavation in the lot.

Following the official submission of HCT’s pride, the HCT GreenNest Eco House, Her Excellency Dr. Muna Bint Salim Al Jardani, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Manpower for Technical Education and Vocational Training greeted the whole team for their job well done. She also wishes them the best of luck for the final evaluation on the 8th of September.
Construction of the HCT GreenNest has commenced on 12th September of last year. The target date of its completion is end of this month.
July 14, 2014 – Muscat Electricity and Distribution Company (MEDC) and Higher College of Technology (HCT) signs an agreement
Engineer Abdullah Said AlBadri, the CEO of Muscat Electricity and Distribution Company signed an agreement with Dr Khalid Ambusaidi, Dean of Higher College of Technology, Muscat. The agreement is the first of its kind, wherein the Photo Voltaic system is interconnecting with the local utility company.
The students and teachers of Higher College of Technology set-up stalls at Muscat Grand Mall to raise awareness regarding the positive contribution of eco houses. Information about solar energy and green living, activities for children, competitions and giveaways were some of what the team offered to the public
